HTML5 Banner Ad Issues

Hi, I have a couple of HTML5 ads created by my designer that I have published locally using Google Adwords Designer.

When I upload them as image ads in my Adwords account they upload but won't display (see images).

When viewed in a browser they display fine. Just won't work in AdWords.

I have included screenshots of the failure to display and the zip file published locally via GWD.

Adwords Files

Any help will be appreciated.

Thanks
Seb

Hey, Seb.

  <meta name="environment" content="gwd-doubleclick">

Therein lies the rub. The GWD had DoubleClick set as environment, on one hand. On the other hand, if it also uses components that are only available for DoubleClick and not for AdWords (from memory, the image carousel is one of them), it will not work.

You need to edit your ads, make sure the environment is set to AdWords and use AdWords-friendly components only.

Hope it helps.
