Google Traffic Estimator tool is not working

Google Traffic Estimator tool is not working. It fails to load and simply shows a plain gray background with a loading animation in front.

I tried deleting the cookies and changing the web browser, but that didn't help.

Please help!

Hi all,

The traffic estimator is currently not working as expected. We are aware of the issue and our engineering teams are looking into it. I'll update this thread once I get the latest update.

Thanks for your patience!

Try to clear the cache and to reload in Chrome

It's not a browser thing. It works if you log out. You'll have to fill in those captchas again.

Thanks all,

But it still seems to be an issue. I tried following:

  1. Changed the browser (tried on Chrome, Mozilla and IE)
  2. Signed out and Signed in again
  3. Deleted the cache and cookies from the browser
  4. Accessed Google traffic estimator from a different account altogether

Please let me know if any one of you have some pointers around this issue.

Thanks!

Run a good security tool: Check for viruses or other malicious softwares

This is also happening to me on both Chrome and Firefox, using two different accounts, on two different workstations. The non-logged in version of Traffic Estimator (with CAPCHAs) also works for me.

Hey all,

Thanks for your responses. No progress yet. Some more information:

  1. Javascript could not be the issue because all the other tools are working. Also, the estimator tool was working yesterday
  2. Scanned the system using Symantec AnitVirus, no virus except for some tracking cookies
  3. The non-logged in version works for me (the one with captcha)

Any other ideas?

Thanks!

BTW, I just saw this message while I was using the non-logged in version of Google Estimator:

We're sorry...

... but your computer or network may be sending automated queries. To protect our users, we can't process your request right now.

See Google Help for more information.

Any ideas?

Ahh that could be the issue, sometimes Google will temporarily block you from some services if you keep on searching for the same thing many times, or some malicious software has got onto your machine to do this.

I'd try try a virus checker as MosheTLV suggested, and try again in a few hours/tomorrow.
