I am trying to create scheduler for Google-Ad Feed but Google  tried to fetch the feed but not able to get file and upload the data-feed and gets error during this process as "Failed to obtain the file information. Please make sure the file exists AND that your feed has permission to access it" but i have tried to request same feed URL in the browser which in return as XML but I don't understand why Google is not able fetch the same file. I have also mentioned correct file name for the Google-Ad data Feed while creating the data-feed setting but it fails to upload.

Please let me know that if i am missing something to make it work? Any good reference for Google-Ad upload Data-feed for scheduler? I have referred - https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/1219255

Hi Abhi

You must ensure you have named the file with the fetch url exactly the same as the registered DataFeed name.

for example

http://www.sitename.com/feedforgoogle.xml- Fetch URL

feedforgoogle.xml - Registered Data Feed

Next make sure you are not blocking Google in your Robots.txt file. This can occur if your feed is placed within a subfolder that you have blocked bots from crawling.

Please check these two things and reply if these are done so correctly.

If this or an alternative post has provided you the answer you require, "please accept as solution" to further assist and direct others.

Tom

Hi Tom,
I have used the valid URL and file name as u mentioned in the reply but then also it doesn't work.
My fetch URL is accessible in browser and it result as XML in the browser so URL is valid i think. It is accessible in public internet.

I am able to upload the data feed manually and get processed so i can understand my feed is valid one. I don't know why this feed is not accessible by Google.
i have also mentioned my feed structure and with dummy data for your reference.

Hi Anwar,

I have used valid fetch URL which is accessible through chrome and Firefox but i don't why it is not accessible by Google Ad. It throws error as i mentioned earlier. I have given all details required to schedule the data feed upload option. Please help me to resolve this issue and able to schedule the feed.

i have also mentioned my feed structure and with dummy data for your reference.

verify the following:

(1) the fetched url is in a currently supported feed format:
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/160567

(2) the url matches the registered data-feed, exactly,
by checking the data-feeds tab of the merchant-center;
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/188475

(3) the url matches the scheduled-fetch settings, exactly
by clicking on the file's name within the data-feed's tab;
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/1219255

(4) the url and directory can be crawled by all google's robots,
at all times, especially during the time of the scheduled fetch,
by checking the log files on the server where the url is located.
https://support.google.com/merchants/answer/160156

unfortunately, a url being accessible via any browser such as chrome or firefox
(a) does not indicate that the file format is supported by google;
(b) does not indicate that the url matches the registered feed;
(c) does not indicate that the url matches the scheduled-fetch settings;
(d) does not indicate google could crawl the location at the time of the fetch.

posting the exact data-feed registered and the exact url that is
configured within the scheduled-fetch, along with screen-captures
of the exact settings and the exact messages being seen, here in
the public forums, may allow others to help diagnose the issues.

otherwise, the best likely course would be to contact google directly,
so that a specialist at google can look into the account and data-feed.
