Error of my ad not being shown

I keep on getting the error -

Your ad isn't being shown for this keyword because there may be other ads within your account that are ranked higher and have similar keywords.

So I removed all my campaigns, ads, keywords and negative keywords except one.

But it still has the same error!

Can someone please explain to me what is going on?

Got the same message. Error message says...Your ad isn't being shown for this keyword because there may be other ads within your account that are ranked higher and have similar keywords.

I only have 1 ad. This message is COMPLETELY WRONG!!!!!!

Hi there @Stephen L and @Honey F

This message is shown when the same or similar keyword(s) in different ad groups or different campaigns (within the same account) compete with the keyword in question, The "other keyword" achieves a higher ad-rank, and thus trigger another ad.
Check your account for similar broad match keywords which might be matched to the search query and trigger the ad.

Which bit of "I only have 1 ad" did you not understand?

Hi @Stephen L,

It's not caused by Ads, rather by keywords. As you said you have paused all your campaigns, adgroups, ads, and keyword except one.  If yes, give it some time, that message must go away.

Thanks
