Hi all,

Our company would like to set up an Dynamic Search Ad campaign mainly for the best selling products. We know that we can use the Dynamic Target to tell which page in the website is included in the campaign. However, most of the best selling products do not have a common terms in URL nor page title. They may even from different category.

We would like to know how can we set up the dynamic search ad for those product. We include the product ID in the URL. Can we set the Dynamic Target using "URL contain pid, xxxxx" to make sure only the best selling product is included in the campaign?

Currently, we have set up a normal search campaign for these best selling product. However the performance is not good as the keyword for each product is too specific. Therefore we would like to know if dynamic search ad can help to improve the performance.

Thanks for your answer in advance.

Hi Wong Y,

you could include the product Id as a filter criteria, but DSA campaigns need at least 100 indexed sites - in your case 100 filters to work fien.
Group the hundred or so products (50 could work fine) in a category (page title: 'best sellers').

Hi Mvarga,

Thanks so much for the answer. We does not have 100 best selling product. Are we still able to set up a DSA campaign.
I am quite new to Adwords. Do we need to add keywords to the DSA campaign.

We are having a keyword campaign for the best selling product. However, it did not receive many clicks as the keyword is too specific. Could you advise any method we can use to improve the campaign performance?

Many Thanks.

You could try to start - but without keywords. DSA will automatically pick the best content that match the search query.
If you have exact keywords in other campaigns, DSA will not use them - they are like negative keywords for DSA.
You can ad some additional negative keywords for DSA, but there is no need to ad positive.

Check with Google correlate and with Google Trends if there are similar keywords to your product and try to include them in your campaign if there are relevant for you - of course there are a lot of other tools you could use
