I'm trying to improve performance of my Adwords and have been using 'IT' - just wondering if 'it' would perform any differently?

AdWords processes keywords as if everything is lower case.  Most campaign managers find keywords easier to deal with if they are entered all lower-case.  It sort of normalizes them, in appearance.

Hyphens and special character keywords are handled as if they were a space.  For example  discount-sizes would be seen by AdWords as: discount sizes

Hi Gordon,

In keywords or Ad copy??

In case of keywords it doesn't matter, for ad copy I would prefer to use IT.

*Google adwords is not case-sensitive.*

Thanks

Yes per @santosh s  Ad Copy is an entirely different matter.

The "Best Practice" recommended by Google is to capitalize the first letter of each work in ad copy.  Studies have show it converts better.  And in my campaigns, i have seen it work consistently.

Acronyms like IT which are normally capitalized, should be capitalized in ad copy.  But (thankfully) Google does not allow you to "shout" by writing all-cap ad copy in order to attract attention.

Hi Gordon,

The only time it really makes a difference is if you are using DKI to insert the keyword into your ad copy. In that case, capitalization of the keyword is preserved regardless of the form.

Examples for {KeyWord:IT Services

Keyword/Display

IT companies/IT Companies

it companies/It Companies
