if group A has a keyword "sexy dresses",

then is it allowed to have the same keyword "sexy dresses" in group B?

group A and group B are in the same campaign, the only difference of the 2 groups is ad texts.

Hi Z a,

It's allowed but not recommended. The keywords will end up competing in a mini auction before the ad enters the actual auction.

A better practice is for you to keep "sexy dresses" in one ad group and then use two ads within this ad group. This allows you to compare the performance of the ads while not suffering from any negative consequence of running with duplicate keywords.

Here is a little more information on duplicate keywords directly from Google.

Yeah ScottyD is correct!

Adding same keywords in different groups can put bad impact on your action as well as your ad reports. Create multiple ad units under the each groups would be preferable in that situation.
