Hi Firouzeh,

Yes, ad rank also applies to display network. It works in a similar manner like in Search Network. It is calculated by taking into consideration the Max CPCs and the Quality Score, the difference is the Quality Score is not visible to us. Also, there is a major difference which is the ad unit, since on the display network there are advertisers competing for one ad spot whichever advertiser wins that auction the ad of that advertiser is shown & others lose the auction and hence their ads are not seen.
Example: Advertiser A,B & C all 3 have Quality Score of 10 & they are bidding $7, $5 & $3 respectively. In this case Advertiser A wins the auction & B, C lose the auction hence their ads are not shown.
