Display URLs, Landing URLs, Destination URLs

Hi there,

I have another question. I wish experts here can somehow assist me with my problem. Smiley Happy

Heres the scenario. Our website (example) is www.edward.com. We purchased a domain named www.edwardwebstore.com to act as a re-direct, that is, when you type in the domain, you get directed to www.edward.com.

We did this to accurately track conversions brought about by our retargeting ads. However, when at the ad level, after changing the display and final URL for all the ads to www.edwardwebstore.com, they were all disapproved. How can I go about this? We need to be able to track and separate retargeting-related conversions from regular conversions.

the first url seems to redirect to a completly different url;
the store url does not seem to exist, at all.

hovering over an ad's status should

display the reason for a disapproval.

health-related remarketing is generally not allowed.

otherwise, a support specialist

may be contacted directly for

account-specific help and guidance.

Hi there,

Thank you for the response. As noted in my post, these are just examples, not actual websites.

first, you're welcome.

generally, a tracking-template should be used for tracking --
cross-domain redirects are not allowed for a final-url.

the domain of the final-url must match the domain of the display-url.

unfortunately however, forum members cannot look into any account.

as was indicated, hovering over an ad's status
should display the reason for the disapproval --

posting the specific reason here in the public forum

may allow others to offer more specific information.

otherwise, a support specialist
may be contacted directly for
account-specific help and guidance.

First thing - Google don't like redirects...

Then - any conversions will always be attributed to the campaign, ad group, ad and keyword that triggered the initial visit - so you will always be able to look at the conversions generated by the remarketing campaign. So the issue you are looming to avoid shouldn't really be an issue....

Hi there,

Thank you very much for the response. Smiley Happy I really appreciate it.

If I may ask, what do I do to segregate conversions brought about by retargeting campaigns from regular campaign conversions? We need a way to prove it. What is this tracking template that you mentioned? Smiley Happy What is its purpose?

Thank you in advance for your help.

Ed.

Each conversion will be attributed to the campaign that originated the visit - so any conversions that are triggered by a remarketing campaign will be counted there - and only there. Since you need to set up a campaign for remarketing the issue does not present itself.
