I'm creating a Display Campaign for my client. I have 4 Adgroups on her campaign. I have set all my Adwords parameters but am struggling with "targeting."

Location- 4 small cities around West Maryland about 110,000  average

Reach- CPM Method - My reasoning behind this is, since it's the first month she has ever done PPC ads, I want to prime the audience by getting as much exposure.

Targeting- I chose keywords and demographics. She's a plastic surgeon targeting women so for the 30-39 Ad group, I chose the respective  demographics and

"cosmetic surgery"

"plastic surgery"

"nose plastic surgery"

"plastic surgery procedures"

"celebrity plastic surgery"

"30's plastic surgery"

"preventative plastic surgery"

My question is:

1) Any ideas whether I should have chosen other targeting methods or any

2) I know how search network targeting affects where my ads are shown but how do keywords and demographics, among the other targeting, affect how display ads are shown

Hi @Hector C,

1. Please learn that all Display Keywords are broad match by definition.

2. The same way.

Plastic surgery is very competitive and in case you find that costs are too high you may consider applying more restricting targeting methods. (I would probably apply income tiers because your target audience is high income individuals.)
