I see what he means ... "using keywords, ad location, age, location, language, days, times, frequency and devices", are ways to target your ads according to the refresher guide overview. Perhaps a better term would be ad position. .

Hi there;
I'm not familiar with the term "ad location"; could you link a Google help article in which it is mentioned?
Here you are the help center article about location targeting;

Hello

This is in the Google Partners - Adwords Fundamental Exam Refresher Guide and in the 5th page NO 1 point - Target your ads (at last line of this paragraph). I have copy & paste that below -

1.1 Benefits of online advertising and AdWords
AdWords allow you to make the most of online advertising by showing
your ads to the right people, in the right place and at the right time.
AdWords offers several benefits, but here are the key ones:
1. Target your ads: Targeting gives you the ability to show your
ads in a way that reaches people with specific interests,
namely people who are interested in your products and
services, and show them relevant ads. Make your AdWords
campaigns even more targeted by using keywords, ad
location, age, location, language, days, times, frequency
and devices.

Thanks.

Hello @supriyo_D,

I do not see an instance of the term "ad location" in your example to MosheLTV's request for further clarification.

Ad location is not an actual PPC term but may I ask are you referring to where the user is when seeing the ad when an ad impression occurs?

Best,

Nick

Thanks, you have got it.

Then you are telling there is no such term(ad location) in adwords? Is not it?

Thanks for your reply.

Under site category options on Display, you can set ads to not display below the fold.

Adwords offers a way for your placements to exclude locations below the fold on websites you target.

Here is the link @Nick C

https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/3306596?hl=en

The term, ad location, is used in Adwords as a site category exclusion on Display Network.

I think the term used in the context of targeting ad location is a misnomer. In the same way you can exclude keywords from triggering your ad with Negative Keywords, you can exclude your placements from triggering below the fold with Ad Location.
