Hi All,

Hello Dejeesh D,

The first time when I asked myself this, I ended up reading this page : link

It says "However, synonyms (like “quick” and “fast”) and related searches (like “flowers” and “tulips”) are not considered close variants." . So BMM is not triggering synonyms or related searches and the simple broad match is, this is the main purpose of it.

Also some examples and their justification here : link

Well, to make it more simple,

Let me give you an example:

Lets say a keyword: sports shoes

Broad Match Result: Sports footware, play shoes, jogging shoes etc..(Considering synonyms)

Broad match modifier: +sports +shoes
Results: Sports jogging shoes, mens sports shoes, etc(Not considering synonyms)

Phrase match: "Sports Shoes"
Result: Buy sports shoes for men, Light weight sports shoes for jogging etc(Not considering synonyms)

Exact Match: [Sports Shoes]
Result: Sports Shoes(Not considering synonyms)
