Destination URL Invalid--HELP!!

Hello everyone---I'm a newbie to Google adwords.  I'm trying to set up an ad campaign for my boss' first book in a series, so that the click directs customers to her Amazon page.  Every time I put in the page, it tells me that it's invalid.  I've tried for two hours to find errors in the link, or a different way to get it to reconnect, and I'm just stumped.  I tried calling Google for help, but they're closed till next Monday. (I tried waiting till after Thanksgiving, but apparently they have today off too.)  Is there anyone who would look at my link and tell me why adwords won't accept it as valid?  Thank you SO much,

Dotty

Hi Dorothy,

Thank you for your posting. Regarding your destination URL invalid issue, can you please clarify a few points:

(1) Is your destination URL and display URL sharing the same domain? For example, if your destination url points to the link you posted but it is different from the display URL this would cause your ad to be invalid.

(2) Can you post the full ad that you are trying to run for us to review?

Besides the great advice from John Paul, when I tried to test create an Ad with your URL it gave an error for Display URL being too long , and I used a shorter URL than the one provided in your initial message :

http://www.amazon.com/Snake-Skin-Guardino-Thriller-Thrillers-ebook/dp/B004GKMY7C/

Amazon has a short URL service for this and all you have to do is to take the product code and append it to http://amzn.com/   , then you get this for AdWords :

Adrian,

That's some excellent troubleshooting. Based on what Dorothy originally posted, I believe Adrian's information is the most likely reason for the invalid reason. Please follow Adrian's suggestion. Let us know if this resolves the issue. Thanks to Adrian for his post!

Thanks so much, everyone who responded. {{Hug}} I realized that my boss had another link to her ebook on her own homepage, so I clicked it to see if it would worik. It wasn't much shorter, but it had no search keywords in it, and it was accepted immediately. :-} Thanks so much for your help. --djy
