What is cost per conversion? And what would be the reason for sudden spike in cost per conversions.

Hi Navya,

Cost per conversion is simply your ad spend divided by the number of conversions. You may have had a period where you were getting clicks and just not converting and therefore your cost per conversion would increase.

You have to examine your Cost Per Conversion at a deeper level than just at the account to try and understand where your conversions are being generated and where the best cost per conversion is occurring.

Hi Navya,

Cost per conversion is the total cost for the ad clicks divided by the total number of conversions.

Most common reason for the sudden spike in the cost per conversion are:
Less conversions
rise in CPC bids
change in bid strategy
drop in QS
change in keywords/keyword match type

Hi Navya,

Cost per conversion is cost / conversions.

Your campaigns are getting clicks and are spending , but not converting or less conversion, due to which you see sudden rise in cost per conversions.
