If someone clicks on my google ad and goes through my webshop site and doesn't buy anything at that first visit, but comes again later on my webshop and buys something (directly typing the webpage address), does google adwords notes it as conversion? Or not because the conversion happened during visiting webshop by directly coming to my site without clicking on ad?

When you setup your conversion tracking code, you have an option for setting the "attribution time window" to 30, 60, or 90 days, and how to attribute conversions.  Google uses the cookie to track clicks and will "attribute" it back to the initial click, if you have it setup that way. Even if they come back without clicking on your ad again, the cookie will remember the initial click and attribute it.

In short, yes it will count as a conversion. As long as the conversion is within your selected conversion window.

The conversion window is the length of time after a click that you want to track conversions.

What it means: If you pick 30 days, then conversions that happen within 30 days after a click are tracked. Past conversions aren't affected.

Bear in mind: A shorter conversion window will reduce the number of conversions your account records.

Hope this clears things up for you!

I would like to know? Does the conversion column include the call extension conversions or should I count it separately for my reporting?

Yes.  It will include the call conversions, but not calls that do not "count" as conversions.  You can set your time limit under conversions.

Hi Steve,

I just had a question whether Google tracks conversions from the product or what is clicked for example.  If someone clicks on my google ad and goes through my webshop site and doesn't purchase that product, however, gets diverted and purchases a different product do they track the conversion of the product purchased or the product that led them to the conversions.

Many Thanks

Daniel
