Confusion about ads targeting

Hello everyone,

I am new to adwords and am trying to figure out what's what. I had setup a campaign for particular country lets say UK. Now the problem here is I don't live in the UK but when I go to google.co.uk and enter keyword I bid on the ad shows up. I wanted that ad to show up to people who are physically present in UK but looks like it will appear in all countries who go to google.co.uk domain. Any solution to target people who are physically in UK and searching the term?

You need to change
Location options (advanced) setting

Change "People in, searching for, or who show interest in my targeted location (recommended)" Which means
Your ad can appear for anyone who is likely to be physically located in your targeted location. Your ad can also appear for anyone who shows interest in your targeted location. People can show interest through terms used in their searches, content that they view online, if they were recently in a location, or other methods.

Hi Suman,

There sure is a solution, Advanced Location Options. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/1722038?hl=en

You'd be looking for the "People in my targeted location" option. You can/should edit this setting for each and every campaign where you want to use this strategy.

Thank you both for the answer. I had selected Search Network only - Standard option so advance location option was unavailable. Now I have selected the advance feature I can see the location setting option. Thanks.
