Confused about metrics numbers

This is going to sound pretty dumb, but I am confused about the display numbers on Display Planner:

What does "Mil" mean? What does "M" mean? What does "MM" mean?

Some say MM stands for million, but then what "M" and "Mil" stand for?

Here's what I see:

[SOLVED]

Apparently is sort of an incorrect translation. In case another Portuguese, and even Spanish gets the same question:

"Mil" stands for thousand, or "k"

"M" stands for million

"MM" stands for billion, or what we call Thousand of Million, or "B"

To clarify: thousand and million is the same here, but what in US is Billion, for us is Thousand of Million. Only what US calls Trillion, for us is Billion (Million of Million).
