I mistakenly set the cost per click to .50  -- I want to set it higher.  How do I do that?

Hi Periwinkle,

Based on your other query, I assume it is a Display campaign and you mistakenly set the bid for a click to $0.50. This is what you are advised to do to fix it.

Dig down to your campaign and ad group, then hit the Display Network tab at the top. Next click on the "Display keywords" sub-tab and find the keyword in question and the wrong CPC value. Please click on that value. You'll get this message: "In order to change this bid, you’ll first need to enable custom bids for this targeting method in this ad group." Click on "Enable now". The next time you click on the bid, you'll be allowed to make the change you want.
