Can my google ads be diverted to some other website?

Can other ad websites appropriate my google ads? What appears to be my google ad is showing up on a website that gives misleading information about my services and I am getting a bunch of calls (and paying for clicks) for people that I cannot help.  Is there a way to stop this?

Hi Andrew,

It sounds like your ads are being shown on either the Google Display Network or a search partner. If these ads are on the Google Display Network then you have the ability prohibit ads from appearing on specified sites. This link explains how to exclude placements (websites) from your advertising:

If your undesirable clicks are coming from a search partner then you have the ability to prevent that as well. Simply go into the campaign settings and uncheck the box that says "Include search partners" (this is adjacent to "Networks"). Unfortunately you can't exclude specific search partners so I would recommend looking at overall search partner performance before excluding all of them in case the others perform better.

Hope this helps,
