Hi,

I'm Running multiple campaings semutenosly so bit hard to keep eye on all the campaign budgets. Most of the times budget will exeed and I'm get shouted. According my knowledge adwords does not have an option to set budget limit. In Facebook each an every campaign we can set budget limit.

I tried this opttion called 'Automate' Its pretty cool, but three times it fails. What I did was made a rule to pause all the adgrops once my budget is larger than X amount and Setup to run this on every day 12 am! But it not work...

Is there any easy way to do this!

Hi Eranga W,

For each AdWords campaign, you can set a daily budget in the Settings tab as show below:

You'll see below the text box it says "Actual daily spend may vary". This is talking about a feature called "Over delivery". Over delivery can have a impact on your "actual daily spend", but not your "Monthly charging limit".

Actual daily spend
Your daily spend varies, and may peak at 20% above your daily budget to help your campaign reach its potential.

Monthly charging limit
If your daily budget is €10.00 throughout the entire month, you will not be charged more than €304.00 for the month (€10.00 daily budget * 30.4 average days per month).

I hope this helps clear things up!

Kathleen

Hi Eranga W,

The problem here is you are trying to enforce budgets at the AdGroup level. With AdWords, you can also set the budget limit of each and every campaign, but, unlike Facebook, AdWords has AdGroups within the campaign.

The easy way to do this is to split your AdGroups out into separate campaigns, set the budgets and you are more or less done.

Running your rule once a day at 12 am will not accomplish what you want. The budget resets every day. If you want to stop your ad group when it reaches a certain dollar amount for the day, you'll need to run that rule several times through the day.

Best of Luck!

Thanks Kathleen and petebardo for your valuable comments.

Kathleen : I'm already doing that the issue is I'm optimizing my adgroups atleast once a week. So I can't alocate fixed daily budget so every day I have to keep my eye on each and every campaign I execute.

Kathleen,

May I be advised about an similar issue related to the limit by budget?

We know specific keywords are more accurate (if really accurately set) could generate most relevant traffic (clicks). Unluckily, Adwords disabled the Ads being run if the keywords identified to be low traffic generated. Is that could be worked? Though the traffic is low, I am quite sure once click the matching rate is almost 100% for me. I know my business and clients. Why Adwords want to limit this?
