Bulk Uploads

Hi all,

I need some clarification on bulk uploads. I downloaded keywords from our entire account to excel and only need to make changes to keywords in deleted campaigns so i removed all other campaigns (paused and enabled) from the spreadsheet. I made my changes and i'm ready to upload to the UI. All that exists on my spreadsheet are the deleted campaigns so they are the only ones the bulk edit will update, correct? I just want to make sure I don't need to include all my other campaigns in the upload even though i didn't change anything about them.  I received the message below when I initially was going to upload so i want to double check that our paused and enabled campaigns will continue running as usual.

"We are about to update your entire account based on the changes in this file. Are you sure you would like to proceed?"

Thanks,

Curtis

Hi CBWY5,

To answer your question on the bulk uploads, If I understand it correctly you should be able to do so without including the other campaigns. However I would advise doing it for each campaign versus all of them. Further, I suggest you download and keep a copy in case you do need to restore the original keyword list. https://support.google.com/adwords/answer/2477116?hl=en

Alternatively, you may want to consider using Adwords Editor instead of the Bulk Uploads as it may be the easier method. Please use this link to download the AE app: http://www.google.com/intl/en_us/adwordseditor/

Hope this answers your question!

Hi John Paul D,

Thanks for the response. To follow up and clarify on my initial question I did upload just the campaigns that I changed and it did not affect the other campaigns. I agree and also suggest downloading and saving a copy of your account before any changes are made.

Thanks for the links and i'll definitely look at using the AE next time.
