When reporting Banner impressions, do I use Total Events or Unique Events?? Or do I use something different??

Hi John,

It seems you might be confusing a couple of metrics here.

In general, impressions are a view of an ad, in this case a banner ad, I assume.

Events are a function of Google Analytics and are set up to capture/perfrom a variety of activities on a website, generally speaking Events are used in part to measure website behavior. Goals also serve this function pretty well.

Assuming you're serving your ads through AdWords, if you're looking for impression data from inside Google Analytics, you'll first want to make sure that your AdWords and Analytics accounts are linked and auto-tagging is enabled (unless you have some other method of tagging in place). https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/1033961?hl=en

Then you should be able to see all of your AdWords data, including banner impressions from a Display campaign in the AdWords reporting module. https://support.google.com/analytics/answer/4355493

Please clarify if I've misunderstood what you're asking.

Hope this helps!
