Backing up a Campaign in AdWords Tool backup does not work 100%

My scenario is that I need to alter the bidding strategy of campaigns, ad groups, and keywords.

I need to restore everything to original after a while, so my strategy would be to backup the account in the AdWords tool, then restore it from the backup.

However, I observed that the Flexible Bidding Strategy of an object cannot be restored.

Is it that this is not supported yet, or is it not persisted in the AdWords Tool backup (.aea file)?

Can anyone confirm or dispute this?

And on a related note: is there a tool inside or outside AdWords that can perform a full and complete account backup and restore of all the features in AdWords?

Thanks in advance.

You are correct, Editor does not support flexible bidding at this time.

I am not aware of any backup tool more comprehensive than Editor.

Hello,

What version of AdWords editor have you used for the backup and restore. Was it the last 10.3.2 ?

I can't see your problem described in the "known issues" list found here so it must be a new bug :
