Average Monthly Searches in Keywords Planner Tool

I have a query regarding the keywords planner tool in Google Adwords under "Tools" section. When I search for keyword ideas for a keyword say "online training" then it shows 2,900 average monthly searches for USA geography. When I click on the "Get Ideas" tab for new keywords ideas, the suggestions I am getting are having very less average monthly searches that means less than 1000. I am wondering how come such a common keyword is having so less average monthly searches in whole of USA.

Please help to clarify the logic behind this. Thanks in advance.

Hi @Amit R,

you have to check other tools (Google Trands, Google Correlate) also to see what are actually people in USA searching for. Here are some additional searches 2015-08-21_08h38_34.jpg

Hi @Amit R,

That data is specific to Searches on Google, try including Search Partners in your targeting setting.
