Hello,

I can see that "Auctions insights = available/not available" can be used as "Requirement" in an automated rule for keywords but I cannot imagine in what context.

Does anyone have any idea what is the intent behind offering this option, with an example of usage ?

The Auction Insight report lets you compare your performance with other advertisers who are participating in the same auctions that you are in. With the Auction  Insights report, you can see how your impression share, average position and other statistics stack up in relation to those of other advertisers. The benefit of creating a rule based on the Auction Insights Report is that you would only run your keywords when this information is available thereby allowing you to have a more competitive performance.

You could have a rule with a variety of functions such as pausing or enabling keywords based on whether or not Auction Insights are available. For example, by changing the filter to "Available" you are saying "enable keywords that meet the minimum threshold of activity required by the Auction Insights report for the time period selected". Alternatively, select "Unavailable" to create a filter for keywords which haven't yet had enough activity for an Auction Insights report.
