When we're using auto-tagging, what url do we give our developer? (who needs an exact url to track ppc traffic)

HI Katie B,

How exact of a URL does he need. Every gclid value will be different. I would tell him that every incoming click with a gclid value is AdWords ppc traffic. That is the most reliable method of identifying AdWords clicks. He should be able to figure out the landing pages from that.

What are you using for a web statistic and reporting package? Google Analytics and many other systems have this all built in.

If he wants specifics of the click source (campaign, adgroup, ad copy, keyword), you will need to add manual tagging to your destination URL's using Value Track variables.

Best of Luck!
