Are product ads optional?

I understand that product ads serve using the data from the product feeds. So, do I need to create a product ad in my existing campaign (if I don't want to include any promotional text) or is it enought to just have product target and extension in the campaign to run PLA ads?

Hi Devang G,

Product listing ads (PLA) are different from product extensions (PE).

For PE, you create your campaign with keywords and ads like any other campaign and add the product extension.  That allows your products to be shown along with your ads.

For PLA, it all comes from the feed, so you don't need to create ads in the ad group. All you need the the product target.

Best of Luck!
