Hi, I only market in my state and would like to focus on adwords used by people physically located in my state; question:

a.  is there a way to preclude visibility of my website outside of my state? if yes, how?

b.  how do i limit ad word research to only include adwords used by people located in my state?

a. To my knowledge, that's not possible. Though if your website is clear with its information then I can't imagine that's an issue you'd need to truly worry about.

b. In the "Settings" tab of your Adwords campaign, under "Locations" you may set a geography filter. Only people in that area(s) will trigger your ads. There's an "Edit" >> "Advanced Search" option under "Locations" that lets you be quite specific in your geographic targeting.
