Adwords lists city even though I am a mobile business...HELP!

Ad Words now lists my city, far from my market base, with no obvious way to delete it. My market won't call believing I am too far away to travel.

Sometimes Google needs to back off with the handholding and allow us to choose whether we want the city listed or not.

Can anyone help?

Hi Michael,

What way have you got your location targeting set up? Are you targeting the city that is appearing in your ads or are you targeting a wider area?

Google will only display the city to people near that location as it's based on the user location, have you tried the ad preview tool to see what happens when searching from further away?

I think I should clarify: in my actual ad, what a potential customer sees, is my billing city. There seems no way to remove this.

You do bring up a second point though, what if one wants to do a radius that emanates from a point other than one's billing address?

Hi Michael,

Is your billing city listed as one of the locations you are targeting?
