Adwords Editor error message "invalid account"

I recently downloaded the newest version of Adwords Editor, but when I go to
"add" an account I get "invalid account" error. It's weird because the older version worked just fine. Would anyone have an idea of what's going on? 

 

Other discussions seem to relate to "2-step verification," which I have not done.

Editor 11 should not care either way. It uses the same authentication mechanism as Google web properties. In other words, if you can log into https://adwords.google.com with this account in the browser, you should also be able to log into Editor with it.
