Account isn't active for Adwords

I have checked the validity of my credit card, in fact, I have paid Adwords worth $ 10 and the transaction was a success but I still get the same notice - 'account isn't active'. How else can I solve the problem?

Welcome to Adwords Community,

If you have recentlly activated your account wait for few hours. Since it takes sometime to reflect in your account. If still showing the same message contact Adwords support.

Welcome to AdWords Community!

It is possible that your account is cancelled, though you've made a payment. You can check that by clicking on the gear icon from the top right corner. Click on Account Settings>Preferences. If you find your account cancelled, you'll have to activate it manually. More info about reactivating an account here:

As John rightly pointed out, if you find that your account is active (from preferences) you'll have to wait for a few hours for the red banner to disappear.

Can you copy and paste the exact error message you are getting and where you are seeing it?
