google maps listing not showing up for one keyword

Hi I have a problem a few weeks ago my maps listing would show up in the top three for all categories and in organic listings. Then out of what seems to be nowhere one of my keyword listings vanished from maps entirely even though I still show up first page organic all of my other keywords are still showing in google maps and I don't see what the issue could be. Even when asking google for additional results thinking ranking dropped I am not even listed anymore.

FYI the link you provided is not the one for your G+ Local page. That's just a brand page and does not rank in search.

https://plus.google.com/u/0/102366876806367459577/about

"movers norman ok this is the one I do not show up for anymore after almost a year of top placement"

Google attempts to give the answer you are looking for. So if you are looking for movers it largely gives you sites with the word movers in the title tag or name and/or the word prominently on the website.

For that query... https://www.google.com/#pws=0&q=movers+norman+ok

Look at the top few and what do they all have in common? They have the word mover in the title tag.
Little guys and Best price have the word movers in the name too.

Bell Hops does not have movers in the name BUT look at the 1st 3 words of their title tag:
"Movers in Norman, OK" it's an exact match to the query.

What's a little odd is that Best Price does not even have a site listed. So it's likely just the fact they have movers in the name that is getting them in the 3 pack.

So your title tag could use some work including the fact that city should be toward the front not the back.

However it's strange that you don't even show up in the local finder for that query since it's such a small and non-competitive market.

Have you made any changes recently on your Google Local listing?

Hi Team,

I am also facing the same issue as that of Nicholas, I added a business listing to Google My Business recently and got it verified, the map listing was appearing on google search result page for the registered business name, it isn't appearing from the past few days and its also not appearing for the brand term.

Can anyone please help.

Hi Nicholas,

There are numerous issues that could be at play. We could only guess without seeing the listing. Would you mind sharing a link to your Google+ Local page?

Also give us the 3 keywords and let us know which one dropped in ranking so we can take a look for you.

Amit please start a new thread as your issue is different since you recently verified. If we have answers for 2 different people going back and forth in this thread, it can get confusing. In your new thread tell us when you verified and please provide the link to your G+ Local page.

I have made zero changes to anything lately I was number two in listing fir almost a year then a few weeks ago I went to seven then completely dissappear from maps listing all together. I do not understand why this change happened or even why I rank first page in organic non maps listing and vanish from map entirely for the search query

Yes normally if you rank high in organic you'll rank in local unless there is a penalty for that keyword. That's why I asked if you'd made any changes because I don't see anything now that would cause a penalty. Could be just a temporary anomaly?

I'd work on the title tag to get city movers in there and city toward the front of title tag. Right now you have moving in the title twice so one of those could be movers instead. Just be careful so you don't make a change that will impact your good rankings for the moving keywords. After you make the change, be patient and wait a month to see if it helps.

It's the title tag, which is one of the most important SEO elements to get right. It's in the background coding on your site.

If you don't know where to change it, then it's really best to ask your web designer to do it for you.

Well its been some time I've added the word movers and switched Norman Oklahoma to the front of website tagline with no change. I am completely invisible for the keyword search movers Norman OK on maps even tho I am highly ranked in organic results
