We are State & Co Insurance - independent insurance agency in Orlando FL

As only Florida licensed agency we do business only in the State Of Florida. Recently we received a negative review from somebody in Clinton SC. The review is about not receiving claim settlement check from insurance company. This reviewer is obviously confusing us with some other insurance company in South Carolina:

  • We only do business in FL. We don't do business in SC.
  • Review talks about never receiving a check from insurance company. We are agency and not the insurance company. We never pay settlements or issue any checks.
  • We do not know who this person is and he/she is not out customer. We do not have a single customer who would have residence in SC.

We replied to this review explaining that they have wrong business and asked reviewer to take it off. They didn't. Please advise on how can we remove this worng business review.

THanks

You can flag the review for Google to take a look by moving your mouse over the reviewers name. Instructions here: https://support.google.com/business/answer/4596773?hl=en

I am sorry to be the bearer of bad news but and this is a big BUT Google ONLY removes reviews that violate their terms of service not based on truth or facts. Their Terms of service prevents things like swearing, promotions etc and as far as I can see this review doesn't meet the criteria. (Although there is no harm in flagging it). You can read their policy here: https://support.google.com/business/answer/2622994?visit_id=1-636181856451953967-2359325100&rd=2

Given that the review is likely to remain and I, as a reader, could not ascertain that it wasn't true, you might want to think about modulating your response to a more courteous tone.
