Want to be found by an unofficial name
I am creating a GMB profile for my academic library and have identified it by the official library name, Evelyn S. Field Library. However, we are the library for Raritan Valley Community College, commonly referred to as RVCC, and most people call us "RVCC Library" or even "RV Library." I am still awaiting my verification postcard so am unable to see what searchers will see of our profile, but is there anything I can or should do to ensure that people searching "RVCC Library" or "RV Library" will be directed to our profile? I included the keywords "Raritan Valley Community College" and "RVCC" in our intro description, but is there another way of attaching keywords to a profile? https://business.google.com/b/112981147109727555156/dashboard/l/07419621817053645533?hl=en
Re: Want to be found by an unofficial name
As its not live I can take a look, but off the top of my head Google will make the connection between the names based upon the website.
Link to the correct website page.
Embed the business page onto your website contact details.
Mention that you are the library for Raritan Valley Community College (RVCC) in the business pages description.
