Verified Business not shown in Maps when searching for 'Copywriter Norwich' or 'Copywriter Norfolk'

Hi there,

I recently changed my business name on Google my business  to Cardinal Copywriting. Previous I appeared on Google maps as 'Nigel Woollsey Copywriting' for the specific searches of 'Copywriter Norwich' and 'Copywriter Norfolk'.

Now my business does not show on maps at all for these search terms! There was no address change - just my business name.

My competitors all appear with no problems but it's like my business doesn't exist!

Searching for 'Cardinal Copywriting' does produce a result but I'm concerned that customers will not find my business if they don't know my name!

Full business address is: Library Cottage. North Street, Blofield. Norwich. Norfolk. NR13 4RQ.

Tel: 01603 291296

Google+ URL: https://plus.google.com/b/106869954809125461557/+CardinalCopywritingBlofield/posts?gmbpt=true&pageId...

Can someone help please?

Thanks

Nigel

Hi @Nigel W

Local pack positioning has a correlation with organic positions. Your old site is still in position 2 but you don't have a corresponding business page  now, hence no business page appearing.

I see that you have not redirected old site to new ?

I would certainly be 301 redirecting page by page to new sites corresponding pages.

Next your business citations. I am finding a lot of inconsistencies with the address, which is a certain local page killer.

I would correct all of these to match your business page.

Then you need to hunt down all the old Nigel Woollsey citations and correct these to be consistent with the new business page, again a serious local pack position killer.

To find these you can search variations ( there are only a handful )

"nigel woollsey copywriter" AND "01603 714640"

I would also tidy up structured data:

Street should be : Library Cottage, North Street

Locality: Blofield, Norwich

Region: Norfolk

County : UK

I see you added in html, but it might be easier to use JSON and wack that into the footer.php file.

<script type="application/ld+json">
	{
  	"@context": "http://schema.org",
  	"@type": "LocalBusiness",
  	"address": {
    "@type": "PostalAddress",
    "streetAddress": "Library Cottage, North St",
    "addressLocality": "Blofield, Norwich",
    "addressRegion": "Norfolk",
    "postalCode":"NR13 4RQ",
    "addressCountry": "UK"
  	},

  	"name": "Cardinal Copywriting",
  	"telephone": "01603 291296",
  	"email": "nigel@cardinalcopywriting.co.uk",
    "url": "http://www.cardinalcopywriting.co.uk/",

  	"sameAs" : [ "https://plus.google.com/+CardinalCopywritingBlofield/about",
    "https://www.facebook.com/Cardinal-Copywriting-111120825598170",
    "https://twitter.com/Cardinal_Copy",
    "https://www.linkedin.com/in/nigel-woollsey-42094221"]
	}
</script>

So quite a bit to be getting on with.
