Upon completion of registering our business it provided the option to mail a postcard for a code. However, the address used is our physical not mailing address. How will we obtain the code?

You were correct in using your physical address. Wait for 14 days, then you can contact business support to help with completing the verification.
Contact Business Support
OR - Go to Dashboard >> Manage Location
Top Right ( Hamburger Menu ) >> Support
Select Support >> Help Menu Pops Up
Scroll Down to Email
Fill in the details >> Request Call Back or Email
