Use an existing "personal" page as the business page

By chance we discovered that our sailing club was marked as "closed for business" in a Google search, so I have edited the business information and location as we have moved, and as part of this it created a Google Business G+ page. However, I had already created a G+ page for the club and have this linked to the official website and a YouTube channel as well (plus it already has followers, posts, photos, etc)

Is it possible to have the existing G+ page transferred to the business page or vice versa?

Existing G+ Page: https://www.google.com/+Brisbane18Footers

New Business G+ Page: https://goo.gl/N8qCt0

Thanks!

Hi @Mark G

This help article will walk you through how to transfer your Brand page to Maps (which is the new listing: https://plus.google.com/117540555661422819984/about): https://support.google.com/business/answer/601...

You want the option :I’ve already created a page for my business, but it’s not connected to Google Maps

Note - for this to work you need to get your new listing verified first - have you already asked for a postcard to verify it? If not, you need to do that before you can link the two pages.

Also, before starting the linking process I highly recommend downloading all your YouTube videos just in case!

Thanks @PriyaC, I've entered in the verification code a little earlier today, and I'll follow your link, thanks. Will keep you updated.

@PriyaC, quick question - should I worry about backing up any photos on my https://www.google.com/+Brisbane18Footers page?

HI Mark,

Sorry for the delay in replying - if you can back up the photos that would be great, always good to have a fall back plan if necessary!

Hi Priya,

Life got a bit hectic and I've not done anything here - is the above still relevant?

I've got YouTube backups and working on backing up photos on this page https://goo.gl/efuJsZ

The Business G+ Page: https://goo.gl/N8qCt0 is also now verified.

Actually I did it!

Now we are moving soon so I'll need to update the location again :-D
