Two Cinemas sharing the same URL need separate Google Search Entries

Hello everyone,

any tips on making google recognize our two separate Cinemas sharing the same Website (and Facebook-Presence) as two different businesses on google search?

We already tried aquiring a second url and implementing a switch on our website to only present the structured data for the matching cinema/url.

I also registered to google businesses... but even when  click the "Published on Google Search"-Link in the MyBusiness-Profile of one Cinema it leads to the wrong entry on google search.

Seems like there is only one Entry for Both Cinemas that comes up, when performing a search. So when i'm submitting a change-request for one cinema, the entry for the other changes aswell...

This is really annoying for us and confusing for our customers...

Thanks in advance,

Stefan

The two entities appear to have merged in the database. You will need Google support to help separate them. This is not caused by having the same website but by the fact that Google either was told that they are the same listing or the algo assumed it if they are close together.

It is fine to have one website and URL supporting two businesses. The website should have both addresses and business names visible to the user on the home page and the contact us page. I wouldn't get too fancy with redirects etc as Google thinks that the URL in the dashboard should be the URL that they user ends up at.

You should however both have distinct phone numbers (mentioned on the site and in the GMB) that are answered by the respective theaters.

To get in touch with Google My Business Support you need to:
1- log into your Google my business dashboard http://www.google.com/mybusiness
2- select support from upper left hamburger menu
3- a help screen will appear to the right
4- It used to be just a scroll down to contact us under Contact Us
5- Scroll down and select Need More Help
6- Select the specific problem - in your case Verification
7- Select I requested a postcard more than 14 days ago
8- Scroll to the bottom of the page and choose most appropriate contact method for you (some are not always available)
