The difference between BrandPage, LocalPage, and other page?

Hi guys, I'm very new here. Just start a business and want to create good internet persona, but seems like google just doesn't let me do it in an easier way. So many different names really confused me. I'm not sure what's the best way to do.

I had created a google plus page for my business when I first create the account. Not sure what's the right name for the page, is this the non-local page? or a brand page?

And then I went to "Googlebusiness" and try to do all the verification, and successfully got my business listed on google map, and now I have a business account/location, and from that account, it generates a plus page for me. what should i define this page? Is this the so-called local page? a brand page or it's not really a plus page??

Now I want to only have one page, with all my business info on it, and link to our youtube channel, and I saw this thread

I read answer article like this one. " I tried to follow the instruction of the how-to steps, but the button show on the picture doesn't exist in mine, like Page Setting for example.

I also read another article about merging. And again, my setting doesn't have the button of "" Connect a different page” option.

What's going on with my page..? I'm super confused now and not sure what to do with all of these accounts.

I also having so much trouble to connect to the right youtube channel, (which is another long story). Does anyone know how to combine youtube channel?? It seems like google page decide I should create channel for my google plus page(which i think it's a good idea too but i already created one)

Any suggestion? Thank you in advance!!!!!!!

sorry I missed your previously posted discussion.

Connecting both pages is possible (without business support though) in case both pages are managed in the same dashboard and following the HC article: https://support.google.com/business/answer/6010825?hl=en

@linh
Would you mind sharing the link to your website as well links to the Google Local and Brand pages?

Brand pages don't allow reviews. Local pages do and the best option for local businesses with a store front that customers can visit.

You will need to contact Google Local support to merge or connect each page.

Hi @Cody,
This is the first page that I create
https://plus.google.com/+SoloMusicProductionCom
This is the page that automatically generate by google business
https://plus.google.com/113372797673063517508
And this is my business website: www.solomusicproduction.com

I guess my second page is a local page? Then how should i do to combine them?

You are correct that the second https://plus.google.com/113372797673063517508 is your local page. You will need to contact Google Local support. https://support.google.com/business/contactflow?hl=en

@Lin H

From what I read the page you created is local page (otherwise it wouldn't show up on Maps)

Having the URL of the page in question would enable us to say for sure its nature.
