Is it possible to take a Google+ business page offline temporarily without deleting it? I know this can be done on Facebook, but not sure about G+.

TIA, Tim.

Hi

You can't delete a business page. When you delete it removes your ownership of the business and ability to manage. It is still live in Maps and Knowledge Panel as an unclaimed business.

Hi @Timothy Allen

You cant take it offline.

What you can do is mark it as closed ( time wise ) not closed as in business permanently closed.

The max you can set as closed is 3 months consecutively and you need to do it for each day, no bulk setting.

Hi @Tim Capper, thanks for the reply.

That is an useful option, although in doing this, people would still be able to find my G+ business page online, correct?

I have a personal reason why I need to take it offline, just for about a month. Facebook has an easy way to do this, but it looks like my only option with G+ is to delete the page permanently, and then after a month go through all the steps to set it up again from scratch (e.g esp. verifying my business all over again).

If anyone else has any other suggestions please let me know, TIA.

Wow, that's interesting, I'm trying to get my head around this. My business:

- is brand new and hasn't had any clients or reviews yet
- is a sole proprietorship and based on a personal brand
- doesn't have a "shopfront" as it is a services-based business

Given all this, I find it strange that I can't decide whether my OWN business is online or not?
