Switching to brand account 404's

I have set up a brand account for my Dad. (https://plus.google.com/104252485936290419786) He's an author, and we wanted a G+ page/account specific for that.

Recently, when he tries to switch to that brand account, the link 404's.

This happens when he is signed in to G+ as his normal user. He clicks the account menu in the top right corner, then clicks the brand account to switch. He then ends up on a 404 page.

When I do the same thing, it works just fine.

My account is the primary owner. Dad's account is set as a normal Owner.

Any suggestions?

Apologies if this is a bad forum to post this kind of question in. It's where I ended up after searching for a solution. If there's a better place, please let me know where to go. :)

@David R

I don't understand the issue as I get the brand page even not being signed in to Google in a ingocnito tab of my Chrome browser:

see below my screenshot and top right "sign in"":

It's not the brand page that is having issues. It's that Dad cannot switch to the brand account in order to post content on that page. When he tries, he gets a 404 page.

To confuse things even more, when I try, I can switch just fine.

Google retired this feature for brand pages

Um, wouldn't that mean I couldn't do it either? And I can. In fact, the latest post on the page is something I posted today after switching to the brand account from my normal account.

I referred to the retired option to post "as a page" under an special password as this was possible until three or four month.

Now this is possible for such pages where at the time (til summer this year) such an special account have been created.

Maybe you did this

I can't say for sure about the situation of your dad.
