1.Full business name                 Underfloor Store
2. Current business address      Suite 21 Mount Pleasant Road, Southampton, UK
3. Current telephone number      0330 1232231
4. Google+ URL                          https://plus.google.com/+Underfloorstore

Hello!

Hopefully I can get a slight issue or two cleared up that has been eating away at me for the past couple of weeks.

When I search for my business on Google Maps there are 2 things that have been eating away at me for the past couple of weeks.

1. Why is it that when I search for my business name other compnaies come up, to find mine I have to search with my business name and location to see my information?

2. This one has been driving me crazy! When I view my business the service area map is wrong, I think I was simply trying it out and saved it. How do I either edit it or remove it? Here is what it looks like - https://www.google.co.uk/maps/place/Underfloor+Store/@46.3287639,-4.9628836,4z/data=!3m1!4b1!4m5!3m4...

Any help would be very much appreciated!

Christopher.

Hi @Underfloor S

Your radius has been changed and is showing correctly.

There are a lot of sites using Underfloor Store, if you wanted the KP to appear for your name you have to build up your sites authority over and above the other sites using Underfloor Store in their Site.

Please contact business support during office hours :

I find you in search for the business and locality:

Underfloor Store Southampton Google Search.png

Next your service area needs to be updated:

Log into dashboard >> https://business.google.com/manage/#/list

Manage Location >> EDIT

Address Section >> Scroll down.

Set either Locality or by Miles  ( do not select more then 40 miles )

Thanks for the reply Tim. I have changed it but I still have the service area as shown below on Maps. Service Area Map.JPG

When I search for Underfloor Store, our business name I am nowhere to be seen? As you can see below the only reference to our business name is another company using it as the heading for their advert?

Any suggestions?

Mr. Tim,
Do I need to re-verify my business every time I change my business service area?
Also, I have indicated that I do not serve customers at my business address, but I do deliver services to clients. However, now that I have changed my business service area, Google is displaying a map of my business' central location in Google Search/Maps (although it doesn't actually show the address, it visually shows where I'm located - which I don't want). I'd like the boundary lines of my service area to show up instead.
Thanks,
Matt

Hi @Matthew L

No you don't need to re-verify when you change service area.

If you want the boundry selected, then do not use distance option, but use the exact area option, where you add the area or postcode.

Hi Tim,

That's what I thought, but it still displays the map of my business address
on the Google Search Results page, despite me clicking the box "I deliver
goods and services to my clients," and using the exact area option instead
of the distance option.

Thanks for any more insight you might have.

Matt
