I came to this forum looking for help with a review/extortion issue I am currently facing. Although my situation unique it shares some similarities the issue that Salim presented so I figured I'd post here to add to the discussion and ask a Google representative for guidance on what I should do.
I am a small business owner as I own a dental practice. A couple months ago I dismissed a patient from my practice as our professional relationship had broken down and it was no longer appropriate to maintain our relationship.
This morning I received a letter from the patient in which she is asking for money. If I do not pay her she is suggesting she will leave bad reviews. What she is suggesting is extortion.
I live in a small community and do not want whatever negative feedback she is considering providing to damage my reputation or my business.
Are there any steps I can take at this time to protect myself? Is there anything Google can do to help me?

Please include the following with your question:
1. Full business name
2. Current business address
3. Current telephone number
4. Google+ URL
and provide a scan of the letter extorting money from you by the reviewer.
