We received a review from someone that was attacking one of our employees with hate speech involving racism. We have already flagged it for removal and were wondering if there are any other measures that can be taken.

Hi Michael,

Unfortunately, it is up to Google and the person reviewing the flagged content to discern if it is indeed infringing on the Google Review guidelines. Therefore flagging a review doesn't mean it will be taken down right away or ever.

Google tends to try and stay out of conflicts like this and leans toward keeping reviews live that doesn't have concrete hateful or racist language. If they can't make a judgment based on the content there, then it will likely stay live.

This doesn't mean that the fight is over though. There is power in numbers, and Google understands if more people believe this is inappropriate, then they may be convinced to take it down.

To get a more discernable answer, you may want to consider Tweeting to @GoogleMyBiz about your situation to see what they say.
