Remove reviews on Google Business Page

Hi,

My client is asking to remove reviews on his Google+ page (http://tinyurl.com/j5uogb2) as his competitors (https://www.google.co.in/search?num=100&q=flipkart) are not having any such reviews. Could you please provide answers to my questions

1. Why are the reviews coming on first hand? Is it because he verified the address with a postcard?

2. Can I change category of the business page from "local business" to a "company", so that people can't write reviews? (He doesn't sell any service at the maps location?)

3. What are the advantages and disadvantages of having business listing when someone is not selling anything at the physical location?

Any more information is greatly appreciated!

Thanks

Avinash

Hi @Avinash U,

I think I can help you.

1. The reviews are coming from the knowledge graph entry or maps most likely.

2, You cannot change the listing from a local page to a brand page.

Question, does this business serve customers at their location? It looks like an online service.

If it is an online service, you should call Google to have them remove the listing from maps altogether, as this is a violation of the guidelines anyway.

(You will have to convince them it is an online business) then they will escalate it to be removed.

Let me know if you have any problems with Google and make sure you get a case ID from your representative.
