Hi Priya,

I have a similar problem. I want to post updates on https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg but I am only able to post on https://plus.google.com/b/116522795422559723148/+TaletownOrg?pageId=116522795422559723148 . These updates sometimes get reflected on https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg. Is there a way to post updates straight on https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg OR to swap the latter as our default page, Many thanks for your help.

Hi taletown

I've moved your post to a new thread so we don't confuse the original poster and can give you some closer attention :)

So this link: https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg and this link: https://plus.google.com/b/116522795422559723148/+TaletownOrg?pageId=116522795422559723148 go to the same page.

In order to post to that page, you need to be logged into Google as either the owner or manager of the page. Once you are logged into Google as one of those accounts, you can go to https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg/posts and click on the pencil icon in the bottom right to create a new post.

If you don't see the pencil icon then you are not logged in as the owner or manager and will need to log out of Google entirely and log back in with the correct account

I hope this helps.

Hi Priya,

Thanks for your prompt attention and reply. As advised, I logged in. Page says I am manager, but no pencil. See enclosed screenshot please. Been like for more than 7 months. Ta

Yes, I just want to resolve the issue and be able to post our updates from
the Google+ page we've been promoting....
https://plus.google.com/+NjpacoopOrg. Is that possible???

Thanks!
Quinn

Hi NJPA

I'm sorry as I mentioned in the other post https://www.en.advertisercommunity.com/t5/Ownership-Conflicts/Google-Confusion-with-Multiple-Pages/m... you can keep posting to https://plus.google.com/+NjpacoopOrg without any problems but the posts won't be seen any where other than Google+

I realised I did not answer the question about merging the two pages together though - unfortunately this is not possible as https://plus.google.com/+njpacoop is a personal profile and https://plus.google.com/+NjpacoopOrg is a brand page. However you can delete the personal profile if you wish without any problems.

Hi taletown

Unfortunately I didn't see the screenshot. Could you please try uploading it again, or add it to a third party photo hosting site (like Google photos) and add the link here.

Ok, it looks like you're using the older version of Google+.

To post an update now, just click on the blue manage button. You'll be taken into the dashboard, scroll to the bottom where you'll see this card:

Click on Share an update and you'll be taken to another screen with this

Yes Priya,

It takes me to https://plus.google.com/b/116522795422559723148/+TaletownOrg/posts?gmbpt=true&pageId=116522795422559... , the screen that I didn't want to post on. I wanted to post directly on https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg which is the page I promote everywhere. So, we are back to square one, or post 1, but at least you know more about the problem now. Thanks for trying to help, but you can see my frustration.

Rajeev

Ahh, now I see the issue :-)

The second URL that you see is just the editing page. Once you've posted your update the post will appear on https://plus.google.com/+TaletownOrg, I promise.

You can see the same process happening here, for a client of mine:

The first image is of the editing page - you can see the long, confusing URL

Then I created a test update:
