Programmatically fetching placeID

Hi,

I am trying to fetch the placeID of my GMB listings but I am unable to find one where I can do the entire process without manual intervention.

I have tried the following resources -

  1. https://developers.google.com/places/place-id
  2. https://developers.google.com/maps/documentation/javascript/examples/places-placeid-finder
  3. https://stackoverflow.com/questions/38873088/get-google-map-place-id-using-place

But this leaves to a conclusion that atleast 1 manual intervention is required.

Can anyone suggest a way to automate the fetching PlaceID part.

My overall objective is to create review URLs for all my existing (chain) and upcoming places and circulate amongst customers who would be interested in posting a review.

If you have access to the GMB API, the list function will return all your current listings with their placeId.

GET https://mybusiness.googleapis.com/v3/accounts/{account}/locations

Hi Joel,

Thanks for the response. I am trying this on my end. Seems workable as of now. Will accept the solution once I conclude. Keeping it open till then.
