Picture from another site shows up after conducting Google search

Hello,

-Lincoln Heights Ford

 -1377 Richmond Road, Ottawa, Ontario, K2B 6R7
-613-829-2120

We just noticed that a picture of one of our Sales people shows up on the right side when conducting a Google Search For "Lincoln Heights Ford" as you can see in the screen capture below:

GooglePicture.jpg

The picture of the Sales person is not one of the pictures on our Google Plus page and instead appears to a link from a site called dealerrater.ca.

Is there a way for us to control what pictures display when our business is Googled?

We especially do not want pictures randomly displaying from other sites when a Google search is conducted for our business.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Hi Steve,

There are a couple ways to report the photo. The one I mentioned above can be found here:

The second way is to flag the photo found here:

Let me know if that helps.

Thanks Steve

Hi Steve,

There isn't a sure-fire way to select which photo displays or doesn't display in the knowledge graph.

Ensure that you have lots of great photos in your GMB dashboard, in the photos section. Other than that, you can send feedback to Google indicating that you don't feel that the current photo should be displaying. Use the "feedback" link located in the bottom right corner of the knowledge graph.

Colan,

Thank you for replying.

I just added 10 or so pictures into the Google My Business dashboard yet the picture of Sales person from dealerrater.ca still shows up as the picture for "See Photos" for dealership when conducting a Google search for the business name as you can see in the screen capture below:

LHFGoogle.jpg

I was asked to do everything possible to correct the situation asap.

As a short term solution I replaced the Sales person's profile picture on dealerrater.ca with a picture of the dealership yet the picture of the Sales person still shows up as the default for "See Photos" even though the picture is no longer on the web.

When you click on "See Photos" you're taken to a page to which there's a screen capture below.

As you can see towards the top left, there's two sets of pictures: ALL and BY OWNER:

GoogleMoe1.jpg

It would appear that the picture at the top of "All" is the one that displays as the default for "See Photos" that you see when conducting a Google search for the business name.

Is it "Google's knowledge graph" that somehow selects pictures from the web pertaining to a business and then adds them to "ALL" pictures?

If so, it's extraordinarily frustrating that a situation such as this one develops whereby you have a picture representing your business that you desperately want to change but cannot.

If you or anyone else can think of something else please do let me know.

I will now attempt to use the feedback link as per your recommendation.

Thanks again.

Colan,

I'm embarrassed to admit that I'm having difficulty find where to submit an inquiry.

Might you be able to direct to where the "knowledge graph" is located?

I've been to https://support.google.com but I can only see articles.

Thank you.

Colan,

A picture of the dealership now appears when conducing a Google search for the business's name so the issue appears to be resolved which is a huge relief.

Thanks again for your assistance.

Hi,

I am trying to report an image that has made its way into our map ad.  It is of a competitors equipment and needs to be removed from our account.  The report flag is taking us to a 404 page when it is clicked.  What do you recommend?

Thanks,
