National Brand Franchise not showing up on Google Products

Supercuts of Livermore

4489 First Street, Livermore, CA 94551

925-606-8811

https://plus.google.com/+supercutslivermore/posts

This page has been live for about 4 months. It has content, reviews, and ongoing activity, yet it does not show up in search results for simple terms like "haircut" and worse, for brand terms like "supercuts livermore".

There is another Supercuts location in Livermore on Portola which appears in search and maps, but not this one. Can anyone tell me why? I've spoke with Google My Business support and they have been unhelpful, simply replying everything looks fine.

On maps, its nowhere to be found.

Hi @MJB D

I don't think there is 1 singular reason, rather a host of reasons.

Main Contender >> Duplicate verified business page :

https://plus.google.com/100224466262922115001/about

Next I would look at all the NAP inconsistencies around the address.

1st Street and First st are the same, however decide on 1 version and make it consistent across all, including website. Also a lot of citations just say 1 street, which is certainly incorrect.

Tim,

Thanks for the reply.

That Google + page you referenced shows as closed. We obviously kept the same address and phone number, but changed the business name/brand, so the closed business will still pop up in search with the same address/phone.

Any options to optimize from here or do something to at least get the new biz to rank. I will look at the address inconsistencies, that is a very good point.

You need to deal with the duplicate.

Every detail on that duplicate is your business, except the name, this will be causing all the problems.

As it is verified, I am guessing the owner has lost the account details ?

You need to regain access / claim ownership.

Read: http://onlineownership.com/claim-ownership-of-a-verified-google-business-page/

During this process with business support, they need to then mark the Business as Moved / Merge the page with the new current verified page.

So be sure to communicate with business support that this page needs to be marked as Moved / Merged with the new verified page.
