My business will not show up when I enter location information

I've already posted once and the post has disappeared. If I search for "Category" my business comes up, if I search for "Category+Location" or "Location+Category" then all the other businesses show up except mine. What can I do to show up with all the other identical businesses in my town?

Hi Arya,

Please include the following with your question:
1. Full business name
2. Current business address
3. Current telephone number
4. GoogleMaps Link or GoogleSearch link

so that forum members can investigate on this further.

Hello Arya,

I just queried your business in Google with "Dog Trainer Santa Barbara " keyword.

I could see your listing in Google maps. Although it 's at pretty bottom at the list.

So I don't think your listing is getting filtered out.

There are a lot of factors that Google considers for ranking higher.

Proximity to searcher is one of the primary factors. Consistent reviews will help your listing to build more trust.

I guess your business is a service area business and that's why the address is hidden.

Accordingt to the opinion of top contributors , business  having a service area with hidden address and a huge service area of more the 40 miles per radius no  benefit at all on your ranking.

To say it stronger:

Any SAB  >> 40 miles will  likely lead in not getting ranked  at all.

So make sure to set your service area in a shorter range.

If your questions are not answered , I wish someone else can help you.

Thanks & Best wishes

Very strange I don't see it when Insearch for it from my lap top or phone. I don't mind if it's at the bottom of the list - the list isn't too long... but it simply doesn't appear. if I search for anything other than JUST "dog trainer"

thanks for the screenshot - I'll try to use another device

Hey,

One of the Google's ranking factor is "Proximity to searcher" .

So it matters from where you are searching. May be that's why you are not able to find it.

Also, it is not always necessary that your business show up for all keywords.

Sometimes it can take time to show up in google.

There are a lot of factors behind it such as website's domain authority, directories, reviews .

Here is a document for more information on ranking.

And I think the name of your listing should be just "Underdog Santa Barbara",

as that's how in your business website. Read Google guidelines

Below article shows some of the reasons why your business not showing up in Google.

I hope it is not too much information at once!

Good luck for your business!

Thanks

I will have to do some reading - I am searching from my location for all the searches so I didn't think location could be a factor.

I'm trying to understand why it came up from your device and not mine and we are using the same keywords so Indont think it's a matter of time.

I also don't see why adding the city I'm in changes search results. Think of it from a searchers perspective, isn't it disturbing that you search for a category and it shows most but not all results? Google used to be trustable. I could find whatever I was looking for every time. This same problem has caused me to miss appointments and tons of confusions when I've searched for a business.

Basically it appears the search results are random.

if my business name includes "Santa Barbara" in it and it DOES come up for "dog trainer" there is no logical reason why someone would not want t to come up when they search for "dog trainer Santa Barbara".

Judging by the bizzilions of problems I'm having with google I think it's time to look into Bing as a consumer and a business.
